Who Owns Volvo?

1000 × 350
A company named Zhejiang Geely Holding Group currently owns Volvo. Additionally, this group took ownership over 15 other vehicle makes. And since their expansion, they pay close attention to the aspects that make each vehicle different as well as what can make them uniquely better for drivers.

About The Auto Group

Based out of Hangzhou in south-east China's Zhejiang Province, this company launched their automotive business in 1997 and eventually came to take over the Swedish-made Volvo brand in 2010. They own the brand, but who makes Volvo cars? The Geely Holding Group! Since the original Swedish automakers no longer own this brand, they are now crafted by the Zhejiang Geely Holding Group after being a part of the Ford Motor Company for a brief period of time.

What’s The Future of The Brand?

The two groups, Volvo cars and Volvo trucks, have been separated since 1999. But now, the Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, who owns the cars group, has invested an 8.2 percent stake in the truck group hoping to reunite the two lines. Though no changes will be coming in the near future, the transaction is planned to occur.

As far as production and design go, these models are becoming more sustainable and safe. More safety technology is being developed and added to the eco-friendly models in order to keep drivers safer on any road from Daphne and beyond. The company stands behind these models ensuring they provide drivers with everything they need while giving them a quality performance that’ll last.
