Trim Levels (Exterior)

You can purchase the 2023 Volvo XC40 Recharge in three trim levels: Core, Plus, and Ultimate. The Core features tinted rear windows, glossy black roof rails, black stone mirror covers, a body-colored covered grille, a Recharge-embossed logo, a hands-free power liftgate, and 19-inch wheels. On the Plus, you get fog lights and a laminated panoramic moonroof with a power sunshade. The Ultimate adds headlight cleaners and 20-inch alloy wheels. You can get your XC40 Recharge in various colors, including Sage Green, Fjord Blue, Red Fusion, and Thunder Gray. 

Engine (Power)

The 2023 Volvo XC40 Recharge's power comes from a 78-kilowatt-hour battery pack matched to an electric motor at each axle. This power source delivers 402 horsepower and 486 pound-feet of torque to keep you out in front of the pack. The XC40 Recharge gets an all-electric range of 223 miles and can charge from 10% to 80% in 37 minutes at a public DC Fast Charging station. An 11-kWh onboard charger, Type 2, charging equipment is included. 

Performance

Performance-enhancing features can improve the driving experience, and Volvo has added many to the 2023 XC40 Recharge. You get hill descent control and hill start assist to help you master any incline with ease. The shift-by-wire single-speed transmission provides a seamless ride down most roads. The XC40 Recharge features a standard all-wheel-drive system to give you better control and traction over various conditions. 

Interior

When you enter the 2023 Volvo XC40 Recharge, you'll notice a luxurious interior designed for passenger and driver comfort. The Core has a digital instrument cluster, a power-adjustable driver's seat, heated front seats, simulated leather upholstery, two-zone automatic climate control, four USB-C ports, an eight-speaker sound system, and a 9-inch center touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play Store. 

Moving up to the Plus adds a power-adjustable passenger seat and power-folding rear headrests. The top-of-the-line Ultimate upgrades you with heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and a premium Harman Kardon stereo system. 

Safety Features

Getting to your destination safely is paramount, and the 2023 Volvo XC40 Recharge offers many standard and available safety and driver-assistance features to make that happen. Standard features include an advanced airbag system, a blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure mitigation, and collision mitigation braking. The Plus adds a 360-degree camera system to give you a top-down view of the XC40 Recharge and your surroundings to help you in tight parking situations. Finally, the Ultimate gets you adaptive cruise control to maintain a driver-set distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.
